Library Director's Message
April finds us celebrating National Library Week by reaching out to our patrons with overdue books. Throughout the month of April, fines can be paid with a non perishable food item, that will be donated to the food pantry. Each food item will reduce the fine by $1. Spring is the time of a fresh start, and we want our patrons to feel free to bring any overdue books back. Please don't put your items in the book drop because we won't know whose fine to reduce!
A power surge left our 6 patron computers incapacitated. Fortunately we were able to let our patrons use our 4 laptops while the computers were being repaired. Thank you for bearing with us through this time of restoration. We are now up and running again!!
Our Summer Reading Program will be kicking off Wednesday, June 15 and will continue for 8 weeks through August 3rd. Our theme this year is “On Your Mark, Get Set, READ” with an emphasis on sports. Be watching for the schedule of all the events to be posted at the library. We're going to have a lot of fun this summer. Hope you can join us!
