Events for March 1

Join us for an Open House today from 2:00-4:00pm and visit our “Gatsby Display.”  It features the works of F. Scott Fitzgerald in books and film, our special children’s books, books about the 1920s, books about the orphan train riders, and more - all available for check-out.

Also today, local artist Steve Knotts presents a “Buildings of the 1920’s Art Exhibit” in our non-fiction room, where you can purchase your own original oil painting of historic buildings in Cross Plains and other locations in Texas. The display will be open during library hours all month long.

For the kids, we have ASAP with the Cross Plains Garden Club at 4:00pm.  Members will teach the basics of gardening and assist each child in creating their own terrarium.  Children will be instructed on how to care and manage the plants they get to take home.
