Programs & Activities
Features and Activities
The Cross Plains Public Library offers many activities to the public starting with the very young and continuing through Senior Citizens. We have special programs and events in addition to our re-occurring programs listed below. Refer to our Calendar for events and times.
A very popular activity hosted by the Cross Plains Library is the Meet the Author Series. Once every three months or so, an author is invited to speak on a particular book or series of books. It is open to the community and is not limited to any certain age. Check our Calendar for dates and featured authors.
The Summer Reading Program is open to age 3 - teens. The programs are designed for fun while encouraging young readers to continue their education throughout the summer months.
The Learn-About... Program (LAP) is the preschool program for children ages 3-5 and is held every Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 AM, November through April. Your child must be 3 years old by September 1 to attend.
The Lapsit program is for infants from birth until they are old enough to join the LAP program.
The LAP and Lapsit programs are held at the same time for the convenience of parents with children in both groups. Parents can simply drop their children off for LAP attendance, but a parent must be with the infant (or infants) in the Lapsit program.
After School Adventure Program (ASAP) meets the first Wednesday of the month during the school year, so children may have the opportunity to keep experiencing new exciting activities and continue using the library facilities.
