Today at 1:00pm we will watch “F. Scott Fitzgerald: A Concise Biography” at the Senior Citizens Center.  Free books and refreshments provided.

Then, at 5:30pm we will view the 1974 version of "The Great Gatsby, followed by a Dutch-treat dinner at Jean's Feed Barn for a group discussion,sponsored by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Texas State Library and Archives Commission.

(answer for yesterday’s trivia:  Beginning in the 1920s in New York, the Harlem Renaissance saw the flowering of African-American literature.  A number of important poets worked in this era, most notably Langston Hughes, whose poems about racism and the black experience are still of major importance today.
