Multi-purpose Room Use Policy
The conference room is available to individuals or organized groups in the Library's service area. Individuals or groups from outside the area may be allowed to use the conference room at the Board's discretion.
The fact that a group is permitted to meet at the Library does not in any way constitute an endorsement of the group's policies or beliefs by the Library, Library staff, or the Board.
Library programming will always have first priority in room use.
The conference room should be reserved at least 7 days in advance, though last minute requests may be accommodated if possible. If the meeting is cancelled, the Library staff should be informed as soon as possible before the date. "Standing" reservations will be accepted.
Any group meeting outside of regular library hours must fill out the appropriate form and have Board approval.
No admission may be charged by the group or individual using the room.
No food or beverages are allowed, unless by special arrangement with the Library Director. No alcoholic beverages may be served at library functions. Private functions after regular library hours may serve alcohol with Board approval.
The group is allowed access only to the conference room and the restroom, and is not authorized to use any Library equipment except by special arrangement with the Board or Library Director.
The group using the room will leave it in neat, clean, orderly condition. A $25 refundable cleaning and key deposit will be required.
The Library is not responsible for any equipment, supplies, clothing, materials, or other items brought to the Library for the meeting by any group or individual.
The Library Board and staff assume no liability for groups or individuals attending a meeting in the Library.
Unless specifically stated otherwise in the Conference Room Policy, the Policy on Patron Behavior is to be followed.
Any failure to comply with Library rules may result in losing the right to use the conference room.
