"The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club Trilogy" by Wanda E. Brunstetter

Product Details

For a fun read, try “The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club Trilogy” by Wanda E. Brunstetter. In this series Emma is a widow and needs something to fill her time, so she decides to advertise to teach a 6-week quilting class.  The trilogy is comprised of three separate quilting classes she has and the interaction of the students and the teachers.  Yes, I said “teachers” as Emma remarries and her husband has designed quilts and helps her out.

Now the unlikely groups that attend the three different classes include a biker whose probation officer suggested he get creative, a young girl paralyzed in a wheel chair who thinks life is not fun anymore, a young girl whose dead grandmother has enrolled her in the class, an artist who is dying of cancer and does not want his children to know the seriousness of his situation, a lady who is a grouch… her class is paid for by her “biker” neighbor, plus a minister’s wife who is concerned about her husband’s job security at his church.   This is only half of the characters - you will need to read the book to learn about the others.

Students find long-lost friends, acquaintances, and relatives in the classes.  Also, they find thoughtfulness and understanding thru Emma.  They learn to trust in God and leave things in His hands.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it reads like one book - not three.  I was surprised many times about the relationships of the students, and you will be surprised also.  This is my favorite book so far by this author.
